Boundaries of Survey area

These are described as follows:

To the first parte of the Eight article wee psent and say that the Butts and Boundes of this mannor and forrest doe beginne at a Certaine Bridge nowe called Awterspoole bridge And of ancient tyme called Rohthendisbridge and so ascending the water of M’rie to the water of Goyte and so ascending the water of Goyte to the water of Dane and so ascending the water of Dane to Crumwell and from Crumwell to the towne of Rode all w’ch is in the forrest aforesaid w’thout the howse nowe in the tenure of Mathew Dollet and so from Road following the Church waye to the Towne of Gawsworth all w’ch is in the forrest aforesaid w’thout the halle and the church and from Gawsworth alonge the waye to the Towne of Prestburie And from Prestburie alonge the waye to Norburie Lowe and from Norburie Lowe alonge the waye were the howse of Robert Handford on the weste parte thereof to the Broucke of Bosden and so following Bosden Broooke to Saltersbridge and from Saltersbridge alonge the waye to the aforesaid bridge nowe called Awterspoole and of ancient tyme called Rohthendisbridge aforesaid.
