Ches12 - Descendants of James Hooley who died in Stockport in 1731

This is the second family tree that includes those persons who were living in the Stockport area between c1700 and 1901. This tree shows that Hooley and Hulley surnames were interchanged during this period. For example John Hooley born 1718 had 5 children, 4 of whom were named Hulley and 1 named Hooley. Further research may prove a link back to the Hulley family of the One House, whose ancestry goes back to 1488 and beyond. See Longview Publications on this website.
