'Anne was adopted by my mother in-law at two weeks old and only found out after my
mother in-law died two years go. Yet the information was known to family, friends and
neighbours.
'As you can imagine, it was a difficult secret for us all to keep from her for 56 years!
Now Anne is anxious to hear from anyone who knew her parents and can tell her
about them.'
Anne has learnt that her real father was Albert Edward Page, born in Doncaster in
about 1898, and her mother was Elizabeth Hulley, born in Bakewell in 1904 and who
died in Bury St. Edmunds in 1982.
They were married at St Pancars Register Office in London on April 26, 1940, and their
son Paul was born two years later. Anne was born in Islington, North London, in 1952.
As her brother Paul would be ten years older than her, he probably knew of Anne's
birth and might be able to enlighten her as to why she was given up for adoption in the
first place, and what the family's life was like at the time.
Says Anne, who lives in Paignton, Devon: 'I don't want to cause any problems for my
birth family, only to discover more about them.'
Can anyone out there help?

We are sorry to inform you of the death of Cecilia Lucy Harrison.

Unfortunately in the early hours of Monday 27th April Celia suffered a heart attack and was taken by
ambulance to Stepping Hill Hospital. She received an incredible standard of care from the hospital
and it's staff but sadly almost a week after being admitted on Saturday 2nd May Celia peacefully
passed away.
