This family tree (ref. Yorks08) covers the Hulley families who lived between 1841 and 1901 in an area of Sheffield which lies to the north-west of the city centre at the start of Penistone and Netherthorpe Roads. The male members of this family were almost exclusively employed as either file cutters, forgers or makers whilst many of their wives and daughters also assisted in the same trade.
